As the year ends, so do the number of video game podcasts prepping their Game of the Year (GOTY) shows. Few are as interesting to listen to as TCGS’ (The Computer Game Show). The week before, in the midst of a “normal” episode the hosts hold a draft, nominating 4 possible GOTY contenders. Those, plus a wildcard poll voted on by podcast listeners, then become the basis for discussion on the GOTY show the following week. The TCGS crew’s GOTY podcasts are right up there with some of my absolute favorites of the year, and I consider it a must-listen.
