New Game+ Chats Localization, Yakuza Like A Dragon With Sega Lead Translator Dan Sunstrum

January 15, 2021 by Chris Johnston

Sega’s Yakuza series has developed a big cult following in the West since its original North American release on the PlayStation 2 all the way back in 2006. Its sense of absurdist humor mixed with gritty crime drama makes for a potent mix, and eighth entry Yakuza Like A Dragon mixes things up even further with a turn-based RPG battle system. Gaming podcast New Game+ recently spoke with Dan Sunstrum, lead translator at Sega, about the series and its latest iteration’s localization.
