Maybe you’re in the same boat as I am. I’m not a game designer myself, but I appreciate good design when I see/play it. I’m super jealous of the “kids these days” that have creation-based games like Minecraft, Roblox, Dreams, etc. because if those tools had been available when I was younger, I would’ve had the time and energy to hunker down and create. This episode of the gamedev-focused Nice Games Club takes an interesting turn, where the hosts speak to WB Games Montreal lead designer Osama Dorias (also a host of The Habibis podcast) and his efforts to introduce his kids to game design. It’s a great episode and could give parent gamers an idea on sharing a love of games and design with their young kids.
Nice Games Club also has an extensive backlog, and via their website you can even look at their library by topic. If you’re interested in game development or design it’s like having a huge audio library available to you.
